Imports grew sausages, canned meat - fell

Imports of sausages for eight months in 2013 increased by five percent compared to the same period last year.

In January- August 2013 the volume of imports of sausages and similar products of meat (HS 1601 ) amounted to 10.9 thousand tons , excluding data from member countries of the Customs Union (CU ) . As to the supply of sausages and similar products of meat within the Customs Union , here we are also seeing an increase in imports of this commodity group - 6% more than last year ( to 47.1 thousand tons in January- August 2013 ) . Almost the entire volume of imports under the TA accounted for Belarusian products . At the same time, imports of finished and tinned meat products compared with last year fell. Only 8 months of this year Russia imported without participating countries TS 16.0 thousand tons, which is lower than last year's level of deliveries in the same period by 34 %. Shipments within the CU decreased this year by 15 % to 17.5 million tons in January - August.
