Pork production increased in 2013

According to the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, in 2013 the total production of pork in all categories of farms amounted to 3.6 million tons.

In 2013, imports of meat and meat products decreased by 12.4% compared with 2012 . The decrease was due to the active use of technical barriers and reduce the market price in the domestic market .
