Russian meat imports decreased by 27%

Since the beginning of 2014 were sold in Russia is 27% less imported meat except meat of the partner countries of the Customs Union.

Imported pork on the Russian market was supplied 64.1 thousand tons ( 19.8% less than last year ) . Delivery of poultry decreased to 45.3 thousand tons ( 27,1%).

USDA reports that in January 2014 the country's 8.3 % increase in livestock and poultry production to 0.9 million tons. Including production of pigs was increased by 16.3 % and amounted to 200.2 thousand tons of poultry meat produced 391.5 thousand tons, which is 3.3 % more than in January 2013 . However , cattle enterprises in Russia produced 65.8 thousand tons, accounting for 93.2 % of the level in 2013 . Since the beginning of 2014 were sold in Russia is 27% less imported meat except meat from countries partners in the Customs Union .
