Meat market prices YTD behave kept

SSC considered prices in agribusiness and production since the beginning of the year.

According to Rosstat, in February 2014 the prices of agricultural producers amounted to cattle ( live weight) - 68.00 rub. / kg ( + 0.3 % for the month , +1.5 % YTD ) , pigs (live weight ) - 70.99 rub. / kg ( + 1.7% for the month, +1.1 % YTD ) for poultry ( live weight) - 53.73 rub. / kg ( + 0 , 1 per month - 0.8 % YTD ).

industrial producer prices in February 2014 totaled :

- for beef - 168,01 rub. / kg ( + 1.1% for the month, unchanged since the beginning of the year );

- pork - 120.39 rub. / kg ( + 0.4 % for the month - 0.4 % YTD );

- poultry - 73.46 rub. / kg ( + 1.8% for the month, +1.8 % YTD ).

Average consumer prices amounted 04/07/2014 :

- for beef - 247.58 rub. / kg ( + 0.1 per week + 0.5 % YTD , 2013 : - 0,7%);

- pork - 217.12 rub. / kg ( + 1.0 % for the week , plus 2.1 % YTD , 2013 : - 3,8%);

- poultry - 106,46 rub. / kg ( + 0.1% this week , unchanged from the beginning of the year , 2013 : - 4,6%). According to operational data

FCS of Russia as of 07.04.2014 meat imports to Russia ( excluding trade with the Republic of Belarus and Kazakhstan ) in January-March 2014 decreased by 29.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 233.3 thousand tons , including :

- beef - 82.2 thousand tons ( - 24.4% over the same period in 2013 );

- pork -88.0 thousand tons ( - 28.3% over the same period in 2013 );

- poultry - 63.0 thousand tons ( - 35.6% over the same period in 2013 ).

As of April 7, 2014 as compared to the same date last year average contract price of beef down 5.3 % to $ 243.3 4 / ton (or 150.6 thous. / ton ) pork prices up 0.2 % to $ 444.7 3 / ton (or 122.3 thous. / ton ) , poultry down 2.7 % to $ 1 476,7 / tonne ( or 52 , 4 th. / ton ).

In foreign countries last week was an increase in wholesale prices of 1.6% for pork ( 1 to € 613.0 / t) and 1.0% for poultry (up to $ 1 168.7 / t ) and a decrease prices by 0.1 % for beef (€ 3 841.7 / t ).

In January- February 2014 production of livestock and poultry (live weight) in all categories of farms totaled 1.8 million tons, compared with the same period in 2013 increased by 4.3% , including agricultural organizations - 1 331.0 thousand tons, or 7.1% , including :

- cattle - 137.8 thousand tons (-3,4%);

- fever - 419.1 thousand tons (+18,1%);

- poultry - 766.6 thousand tons (+ 3,9%).
