Meat in Belarus over the last month has risen in price by 15%

Inflation in Belarus for five months of 2014 was 8.9% while the forecast for the whole year of 11%.

Over the last month, compared with April prices, meat and poultry rose by 14.7% compared to May last year, prices of meat and poultry increased by 30,8%.

Sausages and smoked for May rose by 5.7%, fish and seafood - 3.2%, potatoes - by 6.6%. In general, the food went up in May 2014 compared with April to 3,8%.

Nonfoods for May rose 0.5% from the beginning of the year - by 2,3%.

Paid Services for May were worth more than 2% from the beginning of the year - by 14%, compared with May last year - by 39%. As reported

Telegraph, May 27, during a working trip to SMOLEVICHY district, Minsk region, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko pointed officials that the country's urgent need to restore the number of pigs.
