Australian meat processing plant has signed a multimillion-dollar agreement with China

Minister of Agriculture and Food Western Australia Ken Baston congratulated the largest processor of red meat in the state, the company V & V Walsh, with the beginning of a new project.

«With an estimated total investment of $ 1 billion over five years, the project will include the establishment of a joint venture between V & V Walsh and the largest in China importer of red meat from Australia and New Zealand, the company Grand Farm, at participation of the Government of Inner Mongolia, - said Mr. Baston - Investments will be made in both directions - $ 200 million will be invested in the production of lamb and beef in Western Australia, and $ 800 million will be used for projects to support the development of new refining capacity Inner Mongolia ».

V & V Walsh plans to deliver Grand Farm frozen packaged meat that require further 500,000 lambs and 30,000 head of cattle per year during the first phase of the project, and it will undoubtedly create new employment opportunities.

Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of Western Australia will provide technical support during the pilot phase of the project to develop a system of feed production, genetics and breeding, biosecurity and training of farmers rearing sheep and cattle breeding.
