Russian government approved the Concept of development of domestic food aid.

Russian government approved the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation developed the Concept of development of domestic food assistance to the Russian Federation. The corresponding decree of July 3, 2014 № 1215-p signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, the press service of the Ministry.  

According to the report, the main aim of the concept is to ensure affordability and access to certain categories of Russian citizens for high quality foods, contribute to the preservation and promotion of health "- the document says.  

«domestic food aid to the needy is an effective mechanism to ensure a market for domestic agricultural producers and promotes import substitution in the WTO", - stressed the press service.  

implementation of the concept is aimed at providing certain categories of citizens with high-quality balanced diet; coverage studying educational organizations balanced, safe and quality food; use of domestic agricultural products and foodstuffs in the system of domestic food aid.
