Abstract. The process of biotransformation of meat processing waste and leaf litter in the presence of yeast cultures in order to obtain a feed product is presented. A mixture of fallen leaves of balsam poplar Populus balzamifera L. and silver birch Betula pendula, as well as slaughterhouse blood and crushed meat and bone waste was used as the starting raw material. Processing of raw materials was carried out in the presence of brewing waste—yeast cultures of Saccharomyces carlsbergensis. It has been shown that the fermented product can be used as a highly digestible dietary supplement for feeding piglets, and also serve as a nutritional basis for obtaining bioeffective feed for raising farm animals.
