АННОТАЦИЯ: Ветеринарная информационная система и «Меркурий», как ее компонент, создавались и развивались, чтобы повысить максимально пищевую и биологическую безопасность. Основой безопасности должны служить полная прослеживаемость продуктов животного происхождения и автоматизация документооборота, сопровождающего подконтрольную продукцию. От момента начала разработки до сего дня прошло 14 лет, но говорить о достижении поставленных целей пока преждевременно.

The basis of safety should be the complete traceability of animal products and the automation of the document flow accompanying controlled products. 14 years have passed from the start of development to today, but it is too early to talk about achieving the goals set.
