The Russian government has allocated for 2013 subsidies that support the implementation of the economic importance of regional programs for the development of beef cattle.

According to the accepted order, for these purposes will be allocated 1.8 billion rubles from the federal budget - reports Agronews.ru . The distribution of subsidies is between the 31 subjects of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Agriculture of the program are selected by Russia. The total amount of subsidies from the regional budgets amount to 1.77 billion rubles. Regionally significant programs under WTO rules relate to the so-called green box subsidies, and they are not restricted in any commitments and bilateral agreements. Beef cattle in Russia, as the industry five years ago was virtually nonexistent, and all bonitirovannogo beef cattle herd in Russia in 2008 amounted to 261,000 head.
