Attention to modernization and intensification of deep processing of meat

Pigs and poultry reached the leading position in the production of meat products in the Russian Federation.

Due to strong growth in domestic demand and lower feed costs compared to other animal species , the production of pork and poultry received active development and has retained the title of one of the most attractive sectors of agriculture . State support of investment activities in the framework of the national project "Development of agriculture " and the State Agriculture Development Programme and food markets , helped to attract a significant share of credit in the poultry and pork , by which were built , upgraded, remodeled and put into operation new enterprise. However, in 2013, breeders and poultry farmers due to drought last year and an additional cost of feed , grants in the amount of 11.8 billion rubles. Thanks to these measures failed to achieve a significant increase in output . Production for slaughter pigs and poultry to evaluate the current year will be 3.6 and 5.1 million tons respectively. Growth in industrial production of pigs and poultry to reach high levels of meat pigs - 515 thousand tons , poultry - 250 thousand tons. Experts predict a further increase in the production of pork and poultry by entering the design capacity of the new complexes are in the final stages of construction. Development of pig and poultry production in Russia involves the modernization and intensification of deep processing of meat, which in turn have a positive impact on increasing the export of meat products.
