Production of pigs for slaughter increased by 7.4%

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation notes an increase in the production of pigs for slaughter in live weight by agricultural organizations of the country by 7.4 % .

For four months, the figure was 955.1 ths. Tons, which is 65.5 ths. Tons more than the corresponding period last year.

"For the successful implementation of the tasks assigned to the pig, it is necessary to further improve the competitiveness of the industry through the development of innovations, new techniques and technological methods of production and deep processing of pork," - said Vladimir Labinov, director of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Breeding of Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
