Abstract. This part of the article analyzes the economic situation that developed in the country in the period 1950-1990 as a result of a number of key decisions regarding the activities of ministries, departments, organizations and enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, including in the production and procurement of meat and other agricultural products. The article was prepared as part of the implementation of the research topic FNEN-2019-0005 of the state task of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution of the Federal Scientific Center for Food Systems named after A.I. V.M. Gorbatov" RAS.
